Apple to pay $53 million to settle iPhone, iPod touch warranty suit

Apple has agreed to pay $53 million to settle a class-action suit in connection with warranties for its iPhone and iPod touch devices.

The proceeds of the cash settlement will be paid to over 153,000 owners of the devices who were denied warranty coverage while Apple’s “liquid damage policy” was still in force, according to a joint filing Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

LG releases white Google Nexus 4, pours cold water on Nexus 5 rumors

Google’s Nexus 4 smartphone is not at the end of its life despite suspicions to the contrary during the run-up to Google I/O.

And if you were hoping to see a Nexus 5 from LG that is also out, the company reportedly said. To make up for this, LG Tuesday announced a white version of the Nexus 4. However, only the back of the phone actually is white. As you can see in the image above, the front of the phone is black.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Road Show Begins in Karachi

Samsung Galaxy S4, the world’s fastest selling phone in the Samsung lineup is going places in Pakistan.

The company announced today a series of nationwide road shows that will bring the irresistible Galaxy S4 closer than ever before to consumers throughout the country. The activation drive will kick-off from 25 May to 28 May, 2013 at the Dolmen Mall, Karachi, with similar activities planned in Lahore and Islamabad, respectively.

Samsung Redwood, Tizen Smartphone showsup

Although Samsung-Google relationship is perfectly fine, still Samsung is looking forward to put its efforts into developing its own Tizen OS. Two devices Samsung GT-I8800 (Melius) and GT-I8805 (Redwood) were rumored to be underdevelopment. Melius was thought to be an Android device while Redwood was supposed to be running Tizen OS. Recently, Tizen Greek Community has released a few images of the Samsung Redwood (GT-18800). As it turns out that it is the one codenamed Redwood, this makes us wonder if GT-18805 is maybe another variant of GT-18800 with LTE or maybe there is some significant difference.
